Focus ST Autocross 7-13: CCR Event #6
Fastest run of the day for event 6 at Zmax dragway with CCR. This was a 65.23 run. I think my Falken's are officially toast.

Ford is just a junk vehicle how do the fod company feels
I really like this Ford Mustang with a 3.8 liter V6 engine that can make a decent horsepower five hundred plus horsepower is amazing keep up the great work and the car

Easier said than done. It wasn't savable, I was past the grip limits. On a 200 tread wear tire if you push past the limit they aren't very forgiving.

I can't get those antenna wires off. Do you think it would be okay to just splice in the new one.
I used a pair of needle nose pliers to get them off. You probably could try to splice them but I can't guarantee it would still work lol
On those hairpins I like to press and release the throttle over and over. It might help you rotate the car a little easier but you do also have more HP than my car does so you might have to be a bit more delicate. Still looking tidy on those corners though!
Yeah I can give it a quick tap to get the car to rotate if needed
Nice man! How do you get it not to snap as much when returning the wheel to center? Occasionally I’ll drive a fwd car and no matter how smooth and slow I use the steering wheel it’s hard to stop it from snapping like that. Mini Coopers especially😅.
That may have to do with your throttle input ? Not sure without seeing what is happening. If you're lifting a little most FWD cars will have lift off oversteer which makes the car feel more "twitchy" or loose
I have a Similar issue, but I can switch inputs. Zero sound zero beep nothing

Great job i been trying to figure out how to hook up a switch to my led light. So did u have one of the plugs that go to the switch coming from the battery?
I ran a relay from the passenger compartment fuse box that was 12v hot constant to the switch.
Finally find the explanation for what I'm dealing with. Thanks another man! Good video!!! (Pennsylvania)

Had a similar issue. Removed wires from my battery, attached again and problem disappeared
Didn't work for me. Also tried pulling the radio fuse.

Seems good! My SN95 loves the hard brakes then trail brake so you may want to go deeper but it’s hard to tell on camera. Either way car looks great attacking those cones!
This wasn't my fastest run (it's on here via go pro mount footage). I actually ended up sending it too deep into the turn around lol

@@Drippppppppp I'm in Texas, my 99 had her last emissions 9/23. She was liberated from all the CATs, installed BBK long tube headers, and 4.11 gears 1/24. She also got a 93 tune. So happy to be done with that nonsense as well as she sounds AWESOME now. my mechanic threw out the words "supercharger" the other day, so now I've been thinking (obsessing) about that now. I don't want to "overpower" her as she's my daily driver, but I'd like a little something something extra, you know? Just for funsies LOL

@@Slow_Six I messed up the bolt for the MM tool because I didn't add anti seize 🤦♂️🤣
Clutch in stall is because of MAS air meter and how the intake piping is run.
It did the same with a couple of different MAF positions. The theory was it was related to front O2 sensor turbulence due to the position of the bungs in the headers

How was it getting that bump steer all dialed In again? Do you have lowering springs?
It's on coilovers. Honestly I eyeballed the bumpsteer on the rear end based upon the full tilt boogie instructions. Actually measuring it is a really time consuming process and you need a bump steer gauge.

I'm actually not sure. They were on the car when I bought it and there isn't anything I can see as far as what brand. I think they may be Mac based upon the look of them.

What is the max speed they let you go?
It's pretty "loose" as far as speed limits.... I saw triple digits. Just keep in mind if you wreck it it's coming out of your own insurance lol. There is a video on here of a guy putting one of their Ferrari's into a guard rail.
Do you have a complete list of parts, headers, exhaust, etc that you have done? Great video. Thinking of doing some of this to my old man’s car after he passed to keep it in the family but taking it out of the old man vibe!
All of the turbo kit was custom stuff really. Headers and crossover were a home made deal from a guy that used to make them called "TMA Turbo". Everything else was pieces together. 1000cc Fuel injector development injectors, twin 340 lph Deatchwerks pumps in a cobra tank. Stock lines. Turbonetics 6665 turbo. Tial 38mm wastegate. Tial blow off valve. Tread stone 3.5 intercooler. SCT BA5000 MAF. That's the main pieces of it as far as the turbo kit goes
just doesn't hit as hard as 3pointh8, rip to the king of v6 mustangs.
This instruction video was well done. I got the serial number from a ford dealership and went on ebay to get the unit. I suspect junk yards will also carry the unit. It took me about an hour to install , test , and finish. Cost me around 75 dollars. Much thanks for putting this excellent video together!

The extra length on the power wire is because I really want the charge cable off the alternator to be pointing downward. Running it up the back like that runs the risk of it rubbing through the insulation and causing a short. If you loop it down and then up with the longer piece to the fuse holder, and then fuse holder straight up to the fuse box the sizing will be perfect.
I wouldn't have thought to have it go downwards first. I can always mess with it later
@@Slow_Six Yeah just make sure it doesn't touch the back of the alternator case and It'll probably be fine. A piece of heater hose cut lengthwise works great to insulate it.
The hole in the frame rail for the ground strap gets covered up by aftermarket K members, that's why that wire is missing.

My 2014 went at about 160,000 miles. Problem was, we were 400 miles from home. Limped it into a Ford dealership in a small Indiana town. Took six weeks to get it back.
We ended up getting her car towed home when this happened, but it was only like 10 miles

I do not. They're scat 6.125" length. You pretty much have to buy a set of 8

@@jeffcurrie123 journal size I don't remember. They're floating wrist pin. I think there is only really one or two options for a 6.125" 351w scat h beam.

I thought you did a good job on the install, and it turned out real nice. The only thing I might suggest in the future, is replacing your current controller with a Blueghozt controller and wiring in your Turn Signals, Reverse, Brake lights, etc... I feel like your car is too nice and cool not to eventually spend a bit more and make the underglow first-class all the way. Plus you made this look easy, so it would be no problem for you to wire up a Ghozt, and it would give you more content for another video. I liked this video. 👍

The 90s are back? Underglow in the 90s was very different, and extremely uncommon. Back then we used neon tubes on our lowriders that were very expensive, fragile, and could only produce a single color. Underglow has become way more popular in the last 10 years than it ever was before. Just saying...
It was more popular in the 90s due to the fast n furious and import scene, but yes the full neon tube kits were expenive. I'd say it's more common now for sure

My 2018 explorer won’t even allow me into the audio tab, I can tap it and it shows it’s responding to the touch, but it’s still not doing anything, fuses are fine. I DID JUST swap the battery because it was dead (very cold winter week, -48•C)

They have a pretty decent amount of lift off oversteer. I have an aftermarket rear sway bar on this one which makes it oversteer more.
@@Slow_Six Yup, one thing i love about this car is its ability to lift off oversteer even when bone stock. Looks like a rear sway bar takes it to the next level! Do you have an LSD installed by any chance?
@@chrisdafurz no LSD, stock open diff. LSD would really help putting power down coming out of a corner

@@itscaptn9502 factory ST are non LSD with torque vectoring that uses the braking system. Front passenger is the driver wheel.
I have a 2016 with a transmission fault service now error and it's not making a noise, but when it's in drive it takes a bit to get going almost feels like it thinks it's in neutral. Just dropped it off at the mechanic. Really hoping I don't have to replace the whole transmission.
And mine is only 72K miles.
Hopefully not. Ours never threw a code but the transmission had similar symptoms. Good luck 🤞
@@Slow_Six I think your transmission has a dual clutch system I would recommend you to replace the actuators A and B really easy job and hardly any tools needed
